Lime Tree Theatre, Mary Immaculate College, Courtbrack Avenue, Limerick, Ireland

Based on Lewis Carroll’s renowned children’s book, an opera for the whole family.

The Irish Chamber Orchestra is led by Stephen Barlow, and the opera features a lively young Irish cast.

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is a narrative about an 11-year-old girl named Alice who is shaken out of her imagination when she encounters a speaking Rabbit who insists on taking her to a strange Wonderland…

Alice meets a variety of strange people in Wonderland, including a tranquil caterpillar, a cheerful cat, a depressed hare, a white knight, a passionate duchess, a crazy hatter, and a drowsy dormouse, and finds that not all is well in Wonderland…

This may be appreciated by both young and old audiences because of the recognisable characters, blues-inspired music, and comedic writing.
