New Rollercoasters incoming at Tayto Park!

Rollercoasters are now open to everyone in 2021 and we know we could all use a good scream right now…

*ALERT ALERT* did we hear that right? New rides (yes, the plural is important) at Tayto Park are launching in the near future and we can’t wait!

Tayto Park has something exciting to announce for all future visitors! Not one but TWO brand-new steel rollercoasters were approved for their place at Tayto Park, Ashbourne, Co Meath earlier this year.

These new rides will impressively intertwine with each other making it an even more thrilling experience as you pass by the terrified screams of the poor souls on the neighbouring ride. One ride features a big loop reaching a height of 31m – making it the second tallest in the park behind The Cú Chulainn Coaster! So be warned – this ride is NOT for the faint-hearted! The other is a more family-friendly boomerang ride reaching a height of 24.3m and 238m long.

A €15M investment has been put into the park rides including a €1.5M investment into noise reduction methods to keep the local residents happy (the largest investment put into the park!) so expect something spectacular. New rides also mean the creation of 40 new jobs for the park.

Expect it to be finalised and open to the public by 2023- not that long left considering how quickly time has been passing these past few years. It will surely be worth the wait!

In the meantime, take advantage of the even scarier Cú Chulainn Coaster named after the famous Irish mythological warrior and famous for being one of Europe’s biggest largest wooden rollercoasters with an inversion reaching speeds of 90km/h! Be sure to enjoy the steep ride to the top (everyone’s in agreement this is the most terrifying part, right?).

They have plenty of other coasters for the whole family – don’t worry they aren’t all terrifying-looking! How about a fall from the 10m tall Shot Tower for a bit of adrenaline rush? Or a splash as you head down into the waters at the Viking Voyage (constructed using real Viking methods)! You won’t be needing a sick bag after this one (hopefully).

*Cue thrill-seekers impatiently waiting*
