It is a parish church, and Mass is held here every day. Many visiting groups bring their own priest so that they may participate in the celebration of Mass inside its hallowed walls while they are there. The Blessed Sacrament is exposed in the Perpetual Adoration Chapel seven days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. Every month, an all-night vigil is held in front of the Blessed Sacrament. Its walls, which previously reverberated with the sound of burnings, rain, and hail, now resound with the pleasure of the many, many weddings and other sacraments performed here each year. Confirmation, Baptism, and Penance – these events bring pleasure to the Abbey and the community.
The Abbey’s environment strongly promotes an atmosphere of prayer and quiet, making it an excellent location for adult and adolescent retreats. The words that appear most often in the Abbey’s guest book are peace, prayerfulness, and presence.
