The region within the bend of the River Boyne that houses one of the world’s most important ancient landscapes is known as Brú na Bóinne, which means ‘palace’ or ‘mansion’ of the Boyne. It’s about 40 kilometres north of Dublin, about 8 kilometres west of the historic town of Drogheda, and about 5 kilometres east of the village of Slane on Ireland’s east coast.
Brú na Bóinne
