Caherconnell has a long history of sheepdog training, and John, the present farmer, has carried on the practice for more than 50 years. We’ve discovered that sheep and dogs have been a permanent component of life at Caherconnell since the Bronze Age thanks to continuing fort excavations. Greg is carrying on the family tradition for the next generation, ensuring its survival.
