Belfast Castle, along with the 19th century, is a stone cairn and crannóg, which can be found in the park. Cave Hill’s silhouette is thought to resemble a sleeping giant guarding Belfast, and it even inspired Jonathan Swift to create Gulliver in Gulliver’s Travels.
