This classified traditional farmhouse from the early 18th century was re-thatched and renovated in 2000, with a significant part of the original fabric preserved.
The Winter family has kept the cottage up through the years, and there are remnants from the Battle of the Diamond as well as antique agricultural and dairy artefacts on exhibit.
The original wood used to construct the cottage has just been dated, revealing that this is likely one of the last homes to utilise Irish Oak as a building material
