Dún na Sí Amenity & History Park is a one-of-a-kind and all-inclusive visitor attraction that offers a variety of tourism, cultural, heritage, and leisure activities for visitors of all ages and interests. Dún na Sí (pronounced Doon na Shee) means “the fort of the fairies” in Irish. It was called after a local legend that several lone hawthorn bushes, more commonly known as fairy bushes, formerly indicated the location of a former “fairy fort” in the Park. The Heritage Park remembers rural Ireland’s customs and activities across time, while the Amenity Park is a lovely area that celebrates biodiversity and provides a unique setting for action and enjoyment of nature.
