Tullamore, Co. Esker Hills Offaly is recognised as one of the best inland golf courses in Ireland. It’s a difficult championship golf course with no two holes that are comparable. It is known for its peculiar links feel, excellent sand-based greens, year-round playability, and friendly atmosphere.
Shane Lowry, the 2019 British Open Champion, is also a resident in Esker Hills. Shane had a stellar amateur career at Esker Hills, culminating in him becoming the first amateur golfer to win the Irish Open in 2009. Shane has proudly represented Esker Hills in major competitions throughout the world, including the British Open, Masters, US Open, and US PGA. Shane won the World Golf Championship – Bridgestone Invitational in 2015, and he won the historic British Open at Royal Portrush in 2019.
