The Kennedy Family owns and operates the Glenview Folk Museum. The Museum was founded in the year 2000 in response to concerns that Ireland’s heritage and real identity were being lost. The Kennedys understood the value of conserving the past for future generations. Though the collection began modestly with mostly farm gear, it quickly grew into the major tourist attraction it is today.
Since converting an old outbuilding into a typical thatched Irish home a few years ago, Brian Kennedy has had a particular interest in collecting historical antiquities.
The Museum has grown into a well-known attraction in the North West of Ireland.
It has been covered by both national and international media (radio and television), with SKY TV coverage bringing it to prominence.
