Martina Hamilton created the Hamilton Gallery. It is housed in a listed Victorian period building in the centre of Sligo city. Month-long solo shows are held at Hamilton Gallery throughout the year. A yearly schedule of thematic group shows is also produced in Sligo, in Irish locations, and on the international stage.
Since 2010, Hamilton Gallery has established itself as a key player in Ireland’s visual arts scene, particularly in the Northwest. It is a vibrant exhibition for new works by many of the country’s prominent visual artists, as well as budding artists.
The Gallery’s comprehensive archive pages will walk you through most of the art pieces they’ve presented since launching in 2010 on an exhibition by exhibition basis. They are also likely to contain artworks by gallery artists that have not yet been exhibited in gallery shows, and they are always glad to talk through these pieces with you.
