Jimi’s Wicklow home, a small timber house he constructed in 2002 and currently lives with his two loving dogs, Doris and Billy, is at the heart of an excitingly modern Irish garden. Not only is the house a home, but it also serves as the informal headquarters and classroom for the numerous gardening and health and wellness seminars hosted at Hunting Brook, as well as the highly acclaimed plantsperson’s courses he offers twice a year.
Hunting Brook is home to one of Ireland’s greatest private plant collections, with numerous instances of Jimi’s signature furiously colourful and theatrically stunning large-scale planting combinations all around him. These bloom in the sunny beds and steep banks of Hunting Brook and fall down along the paths’ curving edges.
