Willie has had a great interest in military history since he was a child, collecting antique war relics and equipment. Willie was intrigued by the tales behind these objects, and he ultimately gathered enough to start a museum. Willie decided to pursue his dream and established the Irish Military War Museum.
He founded the museum in 2014, and it currently has over 400 uniforms as well as 15,000 square feet of exhibition space where we display our collection of 40 armoured vehicles and motorbikes.
