At this magnificent gallery overlooking the sea, you’ll discover a fresh perspective on art as well as a new perspective on Ireland.
Experience the ideal marriage of culture and environment at this one-of-a-kind art gallery showcasing some of the country’s finest artists. Enjoy a personal tour with the lively owner, Joan Clancy, who is a great storyteller and extremely welcoming to visitors to her neighbouring gallery. She is happy to share her knowledge of the artists and their works. Seeing pictures and hearing highlights from her late husband Tom Clancy’s TV, film, and music career, including his stint in the renowned folk band The Clancy Brothers, is a unique treat for guests.
Joan is an expert on the painters whose work is on display at the gallery. All of the art is for sale, so if you discover a piece you like, you may take it home with you. Her exhibition openings are fantastic: new work is presented in a beautiful setting with music and drink.
The art isn’t the only thing to look at: a spiral staircase leads up to the gallery area, which has a 280-degree panoramic view of Dungarvan Bay. Enjoy panoramic views of the Cunnigar beach and County Waterford shoreline, set against the magnificent Comeragh and Knockmealdown Mountains. This is definitely one of Ireland’s Ancient East’s hidden gems. A trip to County Waterford would be incomplete without a stop to the Joan Clancy Art Gallery!
