The traditional use of falconry has been to take a Bird of Prey, train it, and then attempt to hunt wild prey with it. Participants will have hands-on experience with the hawks, including handling and flying them under the supervision of Killarney Falconry’s falconers. Things will wrap off with an owl encounter, where you’ll be able to handle and hold an owl.
Each hawk walk is a one-on-one encounter with a falconer and a hawk or a group of hawks, however, bystanders may accompany you at your desire. All ages and abilities may be accommodated with discounted rates for families and organisations. This once-in-a-lifetime trip requires pre-registration. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Killarney falconry is a highly skilled and enthusiastic group of falconers. They take their time with you and put you at ease in the sight of these incredible birds of prey. Their enthusiasm is contagious, and it is apparent that they have invested a significant amount of time, effort, and love into honing their skills. If you want a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see these beautiful birds perform spectacular aerial acrobatics up close and personal, this is the place to go.
