Lissan House

Lissan House is a charming rural home set in a 260-acre demesne of ancient woodlands and forests. Built-in the 17th century, the estate has been home to the Staples family for almost 400 years. Lissan gained recognition in 2003 when its popularity helped it reach the final of the BBC Restoration series. After extensive renovation, the home reopened in April 2012, with modern interactive exhibits and antique family furnishings that take you on a unique journey through the estate’s history and the family characters that shaped it.
