The Michael Davitt Museum is situated on the N58 road between Ballyvary and Foxford in the beautiful and historic hamlet of Straide, Co Mayo.
The museum is located in a beautifully restored pre-Penal Church that was utilised before to the introduction of the 1690s Penal laws, often known as popery laws.
