The first course at Powerscourt, formerly known as the Slazenger Course and built by Irishman and former Walker Cup Captain Peter McEvoy, opened in 1996. With the building of the Estate’s second course, the West Course, the course was renamed the East Course. It was built by Scottish Golf Course Architect David McLay Kidd and opened in 2003.
