The museum’s research experts have extensive knowledge of not just the Royal Irish Fusiliers and their predecessors, but also of British and Colonial regiments in general. Although the majority of study is focused on World War One, inquiries from the Peninsular War to the present are often conducted. Our £30 research fee includes searches for the following items, if applicable: medal index card, silver war badge card, attestation, discharge, and pension papers, medal rolls, commission, London Gazette, pow records, war diaries, will forms, variation of service books, town & school rolls, Presbyterian roll of honour, Regimental histories, Army lists, M/S material, and any other sources deemed relevant.
