The Solas Art Gallery is a non-profit, artist-led gallery space in Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim. On July 20, 2007, the Gallery project was launched by the Leitrim County Council Arts Office and the Ballinamore Community Arts Group (BCAG). The Gallery is supported by the Arts Office of Leitrim County Council and is completely operated on a volunteer/unpaid basis.
The primary goal of Solas Art Gallery is to promote art genres to the larger local community by raising public knowledge of art and providing exhibition space available to all new and established artists, both full-time and part-time. The upstairs gallery area is made up of two big adjoining rooms with whitewashed walls and a hardwood floor, as well as two further rooms up another stair. This allows for bigger exhibits, extra installations, and artist workshops.
