A forested riverfront estate and an atmospheric Irish gentry home
The Argory was created by Arthur and John Williamson of Dublin in the 1820s for the MacGeough Bond family. The home was created as a result of a peculiar requirement in a will. The inside of this modest and small home, built with Caledon stone and Navan limestone foundations and window sills, has remained unaltered since 1900. Stepping inside this Neo-classical masterpiece shows the family’s eclectic preferences and interests.
There is much more to discover outside of this Neo-classical gem. The grounds include panoramic views and beautiful walkways, as well as a rose garden with an eye-catching sundial. Explore the adventure playground before unwinding with a delicious meal at The Courtyard Cafe.
