Signposted Castle Museums inside Enniskillen Castle Barracks, overlooking the River Erne.
Enniskillen is the only town in the United Kingdom to have two regiments named after it, and this museum has a significant regimental collection that tells their past. The Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers (Colonel Zachariah Tiffin’s Regiment, later the 27th (Inniskilling) Regiment of Foot) were formed in 1688-89, and their narrative is recounted down until their merger in 1968, and beyond, to its successor, The Royal Irish Regiment.
